Q
Tell me a little bit about yourself?

The song “The Voice” by The Moody Blues describes me as well as my life.”Each and every heart it seems
Is bounded by a world of dreams”
I am a 3rd generation native, Lancaster County, Virginia.
A proud Marine, served from March 1964 until March 1967.
My passion is my family.

Q
Tell my about your radio background?

I started working at WKWI 101.7 on January 15, 1987, my 40th birthday, but wanted to get into radio my whole life.
I love and prefer small time radio, where you feel you can connect to the people in the community.
Being a disc jockey puts me in a position where I can make people aware of music, and then we connect.
People would come just to meet me. They feel they know you. It’s special.
I retired 16 years later to take care of my family farm.

Q
Why do you love music?

It has always been part of my life. It calms me.

Q
What is it about music that stirs passion, love and even anger in so many people?

A
Bygone days. Music brings back the memory, good or bad. Everyone has a little bit of soul in them.Music offers people an attempt to regain youth and our good times.
We need all of it.
I have done it all my way. And I have been happy. Pain and heartbreak-it was worth it all.

Then, of course, we all just like to dance.

We'd love to hear from you!
